Mrs. Deanna Smith, Founder and Executive Director of the proposed Home Owners Pursuing Education, Incorporated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization has very lucrative career in realty estate. Nevertheless, she is deeply concerned about the plight of people who do not have access to affordable housing options in Charlotte NC.

So instead of reading about the afford housing crisis and watching news reports about the issue, Mrs. Smith decided to take action by applying for 501(c)(3) status to implement a proactive educational program to help learn  how to qualify and apply for affordable housing options successfully.

After the successful implementation of the Home Owners Pursuing Education, Incorporated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Charlotte, North Carolina for two years, the organization will expand to Mecklenburg County to offer the educational services in the other cities that compromise the county. Over the next ten years, the organization will expand and offer educational services to help people qualify and apply for the affordable housing in neighboring counties such as Gaston, Union, and York counties.
